I'm only a newbie here but I have to say, I would be more than happy to see the area extended since I have ancestors in Lancs as well as Yorkshire.

Hi everyone,

Following my message to the list yesterday concerning the areas we cover at
present (DURHAM, NORTHUMBERLAND & YORKSHIRE), I've have had several request
to ask if we could include the Northwest border areas as well. This will
include CUMBERLAND, LANCASHIRE & WESTMORELAND).

I would like to put this idea to YOU the members. What do you think. It will
mean some small changes to the list or I could set up a sister list to cover
that area. As normal I would like to know how my members feel about it
first. It could mean a much wider search area especially when it comes to
members who have interests on the borders regions of the Northeast & West
and also an increase in subscribers to this list, many of which could hold
much more valid information which will be useful to the present members,
however, the down side to this could be the increase in mail.

Anyway, please tell me YOUR thoughts. You all know I appreciate any comments
from my members before I will consider any change to the list. PLEASE
REMEMBER THIS IS ONLY A THOUGHT/IDEA. NOTHING HAS BEEN DECIDED.
