Hi everyone,

I've just obtained the following news item from the Durham Record Office and
thought that those of you research your family history in this area may be
interested in it.

Online catalogues - A First for the Durham Record Office. On 21 August 2000
the Durham Record Office's database will be available on this website. From
that date you will be able to search all of the Office's detailed catalogues
for material of interest. The Office is the first county record office in
this country to provide such a service.
