I am searching for information on the ROE family of Hartlepool. My father
William and his brother Stanley were abandoned, it seems by both parents
around 1906. Grandmother Charlotte, nee WILSON went to Canada leaving the
boys to be raised by my paternal ggrandparents, another William ROE and
wife.

My father never referred to his dad so I believe he left Hartlepool also. I
have a lead that says grandfather William ROE went to Nelson, Lancs and
remarried and raised a second family.

Grandfather William ROE had younger sisters brought up with my father and
uncle. I know one was named Hannah ROE.

I'd like news of the family at grandfather's level, of brothers and sisters
of William ROE. Family history has it that ggrandfather William was born in
Ireland. I'd like to verify this and iron out a few other mysteries.

generations of them.
