Hi everyone

I've just joined this list hoping that someone out there might be able to
help me trace my family history.
I'm looking for information about my grandfather OSWALD REED who was born on
the 20th July 1904 at Houghton - le - Spring. His father was called Robert
but I do not know his mothers name.
He married Catherine Oliver in 1927 and lived at Shiney Row until he died in
1971. He worked as a miner all his life and I would like to find out which
pits he worked at.
If anyone has come across Oswald, Catherine or Robert I would be grateful
for any information.
