I don't recall seeing information posted about this on any mail list
so thought I would pass on one of the most helpful tools available for
those living in Texas.

The TexShare member libraries offer library members access to the
TexShare Databases, which includes HeritageQuest Online in the History
and Genealogy section. You must obtain a login and password from your
library -- if it is a participating library and if all of the criteria
listed at #3 on the site below is met:

The census records of HeritageQuest Online are indexed -- not all years
are online but several are and very easy to use and clear to read.

I think the Fort Smith, Sebastian County, AR, public library also
offers HeritageQuest Online, according to what is listed on their web
site -- you need a login and password. People in other states should
check with their local libraries to see if they have a similar program.
